Icacos Deserted Island Catamaran, Snorkel, and Picnic Cruise

This is an easy, relaxed way to spend a half day on the water and see a quieter side of Puerto Rico. Over 5.5 hours, you’ll sail from Fajardo to the clear waters and sandy shoreline of Icacos Island, with time to swim, snorkel, eat, and simply slow down.

Your day starts at the marina in Fajardo, where you step aboard a catamaran and head out along the coast. The ride is smooth, with steady breezes and wide ocean views. There’s space to sit in the shade or stretch out on deck, and most people settle in quickly and enjoy the ride.

At Icacos, the water is usually calm and shallow near shore. It’s a comfortable place to snorkel, especially if you’re new to it. You’ll likely see small tropical fish and patches of reef as you move at your own pace. If you’d rather not snorkel, that’s completely fine. Many guests prefer to wade in the water, float nearby, or walk along the white-sand beach. The island is undeveloped, so it feels quiet and open.

Lunch is served back on the boat while anchored close to the island. It’s a casual, picnic-style meal with sandwiches, sides, and fruit, along with water and soft drinks. Adults can enjoy tropical drinks as well. There’s no fixed schedule here, so you can eat, relax, and head back into the water if you want.

The sail back to Fajardo is unhurried. Most guests dry off, sit back, and take in the last views of the coast. It’s a comfortable, low-stress way to enjoy the sea, especially if you want a mix of activity and downtime without feeling rushed.
