Frequently Asked Questions

Is Valladolid worth visiting?
While Cancun's resorts have their appeal, and Playa del Carmen's party atmosphere is always fun, there's plenty more Mexico has to offer. Valladolid, a hidden gem most visitors don't even know exist, gives you a glimpse into Mexico's colonial past while welcoming you with open arms and modern amenities. The small city has an old-time charm to it that makes it a wonderful spot for photos, and walking around the city's narrow streets and corridors will give you a taste of "real Mexico" that the resorts just can't match.
What should I bring to this tour?
While this tour will provide all the basics, we recommend you bring: Comfortable clothes and footwear, swimwear, sunglasses and a towel, sun protection, and cash, as vendors don't accept credit cards and there are no ATMs available in this tour.
What's included in this tour?
Your tour includes: Transportation in an AC van, bilingual guide, all entrance fees, professional guide in Chichen Itza, and lunch, snacks and drinks.

Of course! We will make a stop partway along our journey to Chichen Itza in the morning to allow for a restroom break. There are also facilities on-site at Chichen Itza, Valladolid and the cenote.

Yes! By government order, be prepared to pay a fee for each photographic device (phones, GoPros, selfie sticks) that you want to bring into the site. This is usually about $2.50 USD per device.
